Welcome to this page devoted
to studies and activities at

North Dakota State University.

I began my program of studies in the fall of 2003 with two other NDSU students as we kicked off the first semester of the joint NDSU/UND PhD program. My fields of interest are American West, Rural & Agricultural History, and Public History, with emphases on editing, publication, and oral history. Drs. Mark Harvey, Kimberly Porter, Jim Mochoruk, and Gary Goreham oversee my work and keep me on track.

In 2006 Dr. Kristi Groberg came on board to open my eyes to iconography and art history.

Note: The pdf files for the book excerpts are huge (Metahistory is 12 M and 32 pp.).  Allow plenty of time for downloading and printing functions.  When printing, choose to print in all black--remove any color option or else the print will be unreadable.  Sorry for the clunky apparatus.
